NAND or its lines (after a clean restore)
Tools: Microsoldering station and a NAND programmer with the module for this model's NAND package (BGA60 / BGA70 / BGA110 / BGA315).
- Update or DFU restore first; go to the NAND only if the fault persists.
- Before removing anything, read and back up the original SysConfig (serial, Wi-Fi MAC, Bluetooth MAC) with the programmer. A NAND without it fails activation.
- Reheating a corrupted NAND does not fix it: it has to be removed, cleaned, reprogrammed and soldered back. The CPU sits beside the NAND and overheats easily: work with care.
- Write the original SysConfig to the programmed or replacement NAND, solder it, then restore and activate.
Limits
- User data is lost with a NAND replacement: files on moved storage are inaccessible by Apple's design.
- The reviewed programmer listings stop at iPhone 15 Pro Max (BGA315); support for iPhone 16 and later is not stated.
