AOP PANIC - !pulse pearl (Face ID / TrueDepth heartbeat lost)
Reference imported from the supplied decoder v6.21 database. This entry has not been independently validated here. A matching log does not establish a failed component.
Supplied troubleshooting notes
The Always-On Processor stopped receiving the heartbeat ("pulse") of its "pearl" task. Pearl is Apple's internal name for Face ID (the TrueDepth system: dot projector, flood illuminator, IR camera, and on these models the proximity path). This is the iOS 18+/26 wording of the older "No pulse on" panic. Likely: Face ID / TrueDepth module or its flex, Front sensor / proximity path (Pikabu reads "pearl" as the proximity supply), Liquid or impact damage on the front camera / TrueDepth connector. Ask whether Face ID works: "Face ID is not available" or a failed setup confirms the TrueDepth path. Inspect the TrueDepth / front camera flex and its board connector for liquid, corrosion or a torn flex; reseat it. Swap-test with a known-good TrueDepth / front camera assembly, plugged in, and run past several minutes. A borrowed module will not enable Face ID (it is paired), but the panics should stop. Panics continue with a known-good module: board level on the TrueDepth connector lines. Confirm with a new panic-full: no "!pulse pearl" after several restart intervals.
