Camera and OCR
The app requests camera permission only when you open the IC marking scanner. Camera frames are used to recognize laser-engraved IC text. OCR input images and recognized text are processed on-device. AIFlasher does not upload or retain your camera frames on an AIFlasher server.
Offline database
The IC catalog, evidence metadata, price matrix and search logic are stored or processed locally on the device. The app does not require an AIFlasher account and does not send your IC searches to an AIFlasher server.
ML Kit diagnostics
The app uses Google's bundled ML Kit Text Recognition SDK. Google documents that ML Kit may collect device information, application information and per-installation identifiers for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states that collected data is encrypted in transit and is not shared with third parties. OCR input images and resulting text are processed on-device and are not sent to Google as OCR content.
Permissions
The app requests camera access for OCR. It does not request location, contacts, call logs, SMS, microphone or broad photo/video library access. Android permissions may change if future features are added; this policy will be updated before those features are released.
External links
Buttons for AIFlasher.com, source/datasheet links and WhatsApp open external apps or websites. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Information you choose to send through WhatsApp is handled by WhatsApp/Meta and the recipient.
Retention and deletion
AIFlasher does not maintain a cloud profile for this app. Local app data is removed when the app is uninstalled or its storage is cleared. Android backup is disabled for the application build described by this policy.
